Our Accomplishments

Founded in 2014, the Fowler Action Committee Foundation has dedicated itself to the betterment of Fowler and Southwestern Kansas. As a nonprofit organization, our mission is to foster community development, enhance local infrastructure, and improve the quality of life for all residents. Over the years, our efforts have brought together local businesses, volunteers, and residents to create lasting positive change in our community. 2014

Fowler Action Committee Foundation founded with the mission to promote community welfare and enhance the quality of life in Fowler, Kansas.

2019

Completed an internet initiative to provide better connectivity and digital access to the residents of Fowler, in partnership with IdeaTek.

2022

Completed the HAT (Housing Assessment Tool) Survey, a crucial prerequisite for obtaining modern income housing grants, in partnership with the City of Fowler.

2023

  • Conducted Affordable Daycare development consulting: Used FACF resources to plan and develop a daycare establishment, addressing the community’s need for accessible childcare, in partnership with Fowler Public Schools.

  • Achieved non-profit status by completing the filing process and officially becoming a recognized non-profit organization.

  • Purchased and remodeled a house at 604 Pine St, a key project aimed at revitalizing the area.

2024

  • Applied and received a grant for installing 10 picnic tables in the park, enhancing recreational facilities for residents.

  • Secured a $5,750 Tree Grant to promote environmental sustainability and beautify the community with tree planting initiatives.

  • Completed the MIH (Moderate Income Housing) grant project and housing development, providing more affordable housing options—two houses have been sold as of 2025.

  • Installed a new fence at the RV park, improving its security and appearance.

  • Reconstructed the gazebo, providing a refreshed space for community gatherings and events.

  • Made structural improvements to the park's splash pad with a generous grant award from the Beach Family Foundation. These improvements will help to sustain the splash pad so it remains a fun feature of the park for years to come.

  • Received Love, Kansas grant funds from Kansas Department of Commerce to support outreach activities that inspire former Fowlerites and Kansans to "come home" as well as attract new residents to Fowler. https://lovekansas.com/
